Thanks for stopping by. We are a homeschooling, attached-parenting family of 4 residing in south-eastern Ontario, Canada. We enjoy lots of stuff, but mostly we enjoy laughing.
There is a saying: "We don't laugh because we are happy. We are happy because we laugh" and that is how we try to live our lives. We struggle with disabilities and are trying to raise two children with neurodiversities. It it NOT easy, but we find the funny and laughter in even the smallest things in a day, and that is what makes us able to go on every day, even when things look grim.
The Mundane One: Self titled "The Mundane One" the Dad of this family is the only member of the family without ADHD. He has CFS/ME and is the smarty pants in the family. He literally knows pretty much everything, and is the source of all our info when we are homeschooling. He carries his Blackberry everywhere, and tweets whatever comes to his mind. Including the crazy conversations that go on in our home. With two silly kids, they can be amusing, to say the least. We can often be seen "carschooling" on day trips to the city, with his blackberry accessing Internet info, and teaching the kiddos about whatever it is they want to know today. He is a great photographer, when his health permits him the energy to go out to take pictures. HE is also a great cook, when SuperADDmom manages to get the kitchen clean and organized enough to allow him to do so without wasting a lot of energy. (which has not been for some time) Truth be told. there really isn't all that much "mundane" about him at all.
SuperADDmom. The Mom of the family has ADHD, dyslexia and other learning disabilities. The Mundane one often refers to her as "ADDgirl". It is known by all (well almost all) that this is a "term of endearment". She is musical, a life learner, and a people person. She can often be found using a chainsaw or an axe, since we live rurally and heat exclusively with wood. She is a "recyclante" often searching for ways to make old things into new funky things.
The MonkeyButso. The HYPER 4 year old boy. Has suspected ADHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHD, and has Auditory processing issues. he is LITERALLY often upside down, on the couch, or on his bed, climbing the counters, or jumping, spinning, and twirling everywhere in the house from he moment he wakes up until the moment he falls asleep.He loves music and is often running around singing to himself, making up words to familiar songs, or driving his sister crazy.
The SillyGirl. The ADDgirl jr. is a silly kid, very artistic, and MESSY, scatterbrained, and crazy. She can often be found in a fit of giggles over almost nothing at all. She has sold her photography in the form of notecards, and has won local fairs with her oil paintings. She is often writing books, drawing cartoons, or creating plays for us to watch.She can be oody and is a "typical artist" personality
