I hate when facebook has glitches like that, don’t you? Nothing worse than when something works exactly as intended.

I did that for some time, not as much of a market in Australia for it … but, like a makeup artist, the skillsets are complex and unappreciated.
Oh, don’t get me wrong - it’s not that I don’t appreciate the skill sets. Way back when I was part of a corporation that did a lot of advertising (this would have been the late 1980s), I attended a food photoshoot as part of a training program. The little tricks and tweaks are myriad, complex and fascinating. (I’m sure Xntrek knows this if he’s done the job, but for others - in the US/Canada most food advertisement photography for a specific brand must, by law, be the actual food - e.g. a Big Mac or a Whopper HAS to be an actual Big Mac or Whopper - and can’t be mock-ups like soap or plastic or clay - however, you are allowed to do things like oil stuff up and use smoking incense to make them look steaming hot and appetizing in spite of the fact that for the most part, the food is cold before a shutter release is ever clicked.)
The thing is, I thought it was the photographers job to make things look good, and to direct the cook/chef in how to place things on the plate for the best look. The luxury of having someone to do that FOR YOU seems totally foreign.
You’re basically creating a form of still-life art which I thought was supposed to be the photographer’s vision of how things should look. It feels… weird… like if you were going to paint a bowl of fruit, and you have someone else come along to put the fruit in the bowl in an aesthetically pleasing way rather than arranging it yourself.
So…

Abqryan noticed and pointed out that there was a 30-min-ish delay in things showing up. I RSS more than I dashboard so I didn’t know it was a problem since I’m used to having minimal activity on my dash and only discovered it when my own posts didn’t show up. Everyone who is looking NOW would see what I posted fine - they wouldn’t be affected - and now I look kinda silly. Unless, of course, this doesn’t show up for a half an hour.
